Open Question: does anyone know anything about auditions?!?!?

i really need your help! here's my short story: all my life i have always had the dream of becoming a singer and actress but a year and a half ago (when i had my chance to go to american idol) i feel in love with a boy who told me we could start a band and so i gave up on my dream for a whole year and a half (yes i know, i'm very stupid) but i finally realized that i was being retarded so i dumped the guy and now i'm completely focused on my dream. i'm going to try out for american idol in august but til then i want to try some auditions for movies. :D i live in chattanooga, tennessee and i just really want to get my name out there. does anyone know where i can try out in some movie auditons? how does it all work? do i just fill out papers and try out? i have no idea.. lol. sorry, i'm defiantly not the smartest kid on the block. p.s. if you would like to hear me sing here is my page with some demos.. www.myspace.com/ashlynreed it's just two kelly clarkson songs i sung at a recording studio on a karaoke cd. haha...
